by Div. 7
Every week, classes at Surrey Centre clean up the schoolyard garbage to keep the school clean and help the environment.
This week, Division 7 picked up garbage this week on an extremely windy day. They found interesting items such as a beer can, a T-shirt in a tree, a popped balloon, an almost full coffee cup, an owl magnet, and even a big piece of styrofoam wrapped in pink plastic.
The area that had the most garbage was the primary playground, followed by the intermediate playground and gravel field.
Mr. Lee said, “This week had a lot of garbage, and some very unusual items.”
The continued efforts of all classes make Surrey Centre a great place to learn and play.
